|Welcome to St. Juan Diego Parish!
It is with pleasure that we offer you a community who came together with excitement in 2002 to begin another Catholic presence in Washington County. Whether you are a visitor to St. Juan Diego or one of our long time parishioners we want to serve your needs. For those of you looking for a spiritual home, we provide opportunities for worship, friendship, and involvement. As St. Juan Diego continues to grow, we look forward to your unique perspective and ideas for our growth. We look forward to meeting you!

St. Juan Diego Women’s Retreat
February 19th – 21st at our Lady of Peace Retreat House
St. Juan Diego women’s retreats are all about relationships. Connection. Belonging. Face to face sharing of faith and doubts; laughter and tears; love and support. Pope Francis emphasizes the importance of relationship in Laudato Si.
The theme this year is “Inspiring Women Past and Present”. The content will be based on the book My Badass Book of Saints by Maria Morera Johnson. The books are available to purchase with your registration or for purchase even if you can’t join us at the retreat. The book is not required reading, but is available if you’d like to enhance your experience.
We are going to have even more FUN than we had last year! We’re planning Zumba, crafts, singing, games and our own Fr. Jeff Ervin will say Mass.
The cost is $175 for the weekend. We have some scholarships available. And, we accept donations.
Women: please join us for this wonderful event!
Parish Lenten Mission February 27, 2016
JUBILEE YEAR OF DIVINE MERCY
Pope Francis has declared a Year of Divine Mercy to call every Catholic to share in the Merciful Ministry of our Compassionate Christ. Learn what scripture and theology teach about Divine Mercy. Apply these teachings to your spiritual life and prayer life. Live out this new evangelization in your daily ministry as a Catholic.
A retreat on these topics is one of the best ways to prepare for and participate in this Year of Divine Mercy. St. Juan Diego Parish is presenting such a retreat on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016 from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm: The Scriptural and theological basis of Divine Mercy; The impact of Divine Mercy on your spiritual life and prayer life; The daily living out of Divine Mercy.
This retreat will be interactive with notes given out. Our retreat director has a STL degree in theology from the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, and has been a priest for 52 years. He directs retreats to Religious and to Parishes. He has a Buddhist background, and the main virtue for Buddhists is compassion. A basket for free will offering will be put out.
Today’s Scripture Readings:
Saturday Vigil: 5:00 PM
Sacrament of Reconciliation: Saturday: 4:00 – 4:30 PM
As St. Juan Diego Catholic Church, we are a diverse community that strives to welcome everyone with dignity, respect and belonging by living the Good News of Jesus Christ.
St. Juan Diego Inclement Weather Policy
Concerning Sunday Mass Obligation, the church’s principle is what is impossible is not required.
In general, St. Juan Diego will follow the decisions of PCC Rock Creek concerning delays and cancellations for snow and inclement weather. All parish functions (including daily Mass) whether held at the church or elsewhere will be delayed or cancelled following PCC Rock Creek. It is always best to err on the side of caution. For example, if classes are cancelled in the morning you should assume that parish activities will also be cancelled for the evening. (Even if weather conditions improve.) Regarding Faith Formation, check your email. When in doubt, assume that activities are cancelled.
Saturday Vigil, Sunday, and Holy Day Masses will not be cancelled unless absolutely necessary.
