It is with pleasure that we offer you a community who came together with excitement in 2002 to begin another Catholic presence in Washington County. Whether you are a visitor to St. Juan Diego or one of our long time parishioners we want to serve your needs. For those of you looking for a spiritual home, we provide opportunities for worship, friendship, and involvement. As St. Juan Diego continues to grow, we look forward to your unique perspective and ideas for our growth. We look forward to meeting you!

Parish and Family Life Survey

Dear Parishioner,

The Church is not a building; it is the parish community. “[W]e, though many, are one body in Christ” (RM 12:5).

The St Juan Diego Parish and Family Life Committee seeks to enable our parish to live out this mission. Our goal is to   welcome, connect and foster relationships in the parish community, within parish ministries, and beyond our liturgies.

We are a newly formed group seeking to first understand parishioners’ perceptions of our current SJD parish community and then to recommend and implement ways to build a well-connected and vibrant parish home for all members. We are planning to do this in two steps.

In Step 1, we are beginning with a survey so that we might better understand the attitudes, needs and interests of our parishioners. It is the first step in learning your perceptions. We are committed to reporting back the results to the parish in a timely way. The survey responses will help guide the types of questions we will seek answers to in Step 2 of our plan. The survey responses are completely confidential. Your honest responses are greatly valued and appreciated.

In Step 2, we will create opportunities to meet in small groups to listen in more detail to parishioners to learn what you love about SJD, what is missing from our parish, what you’d like to see in the future, and where your passions lie. We will again report the results of these listening sessions to the parish community and share our next steps toward implementing this new parish ministry.

We thank you for your participation as your answers will help guide the future direction of our Parish and Family Life Committee.
