Thank you, Fr. Terry, from a believer in the R.C. Diocese of Burlington (Vt.) for your homily in English of October 5 (a Sat., dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary). Its content and categories provide me food for thought in reflecting on St. Juan Diego Cuauhtlatoatzin whose Memorial was two days ago (Dec 9), whose example provides a role model for holiness in Catholics in North America today (Dec 11), and whose experience with Our Lady of Guadalupe whose Feast is tomorrow (Dec 12) indicates that we, too, can co-participate with her in bringing Christ to those who need Him, so that they, too, can be part of the Vine that bears the fruit of grapes that human beings cultivate and turn into wine but that He cultivates and turns into his own Body and Blood through the priest-celebrant in the Liturgy of the Eucharist at Mass. – By a retired scientist
