Home Masses

In the earliest days of the Catholic Church, the new Christians had no church building in which to worship. They met in homes, as reported in the New Testament. They celebrated the Eucharist, encouraged each other in faith and shared a meal. In these early days of St. Juan Diego Parish, we hope to follow that model. Fr. Kerns is available for Home Masses, usually on Friday evenings.

Those hosting a Home Mass are encouraged to invite friends and neighbors who will be part of the new parish, as many as can fit in the living room. The Mass can take place at 5:30 or 6:00 PM followed by a potluck supper provided by all the guests. Evenings could conclude as early as 8:00 – 8:30 PM. This will serve as an opportunity to get to know other parishioners and to build our parish on a spiritual foundation nourished on the Eucharist.
