Welcome to
St. Juan Diego Church!

We are the newest parish in the Archdiocese of Portland in 20 years, founded by Archbishop John Vlazny on July 31, 2002, the day that Pope John Paul II canonized St. Juan Diego.

When people ask me if we have built a church yet I answer: “If you mean a building, no. If you mean a community, then yes.” These parishioners are a friendly and enthusiastic bunch.

I am delighted now to announce that we will be dedicating our new church – our new home – this fall, 2010!

In the meantime we continue to meet at St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church for Saturday evening Mass and at PCC-Rock Creek Campus in the gym on Sunday mornings. Please join us anytime for Mass, for a visit, or if you would like to become a member. As we sing in one of our hymns “All are welcome in this place”. It is the love of Christ Jesus who calls us together.

– Fr. John Kerns, Parish Priest

Our Mission
